BBC FEATURE ON 3RADICAL AND POSB SMART BUDDY
We are proud to have been featured by the BBC in a feature article on ecommerce. This is fantastic recognition of the innovation delivered by Singapore’s Smart Nation Initiative: POSB Smart Buddy, the world’s first in-school wearable tech savings and payments programme.
Other than just using it for digital payments, the wristwatch device is also a fitness tracker, counting daily steps, distance travelled, and calories burnt. The device’s location tracker feature also allows parents to be notified of the child’s location within the school compound and when the child has boarded or alighted off the school bus
The POSB Smart Buddy’s accompanying mobile app allows parents to set a daily allowance limit, monitor spending and activity levels, and send remaining balance into the child’s savings account, effectively giving the child a headstart into a solid financial education.
